View->Messages shortcut key (F2) fails in specific case

The shortcut key to show the message toolbar (F2) doesn't work in the following situation:

1) make sure the message toolbar is visible

2) click in the message toolbar

3) hit F2 to hide the message toolbar

4) hit F2 to show the message toolbar - FAILS

This seems to be related to the focus. If you click anywhere in the interface after step 3, F2 works correctly. Perhaps the focus (which was on the message toolbar) becomes undefined when that toolbar is hidden?

Sorry I can't confirm. What version of C::B do you have? I have Version 1.0 revision 2159 (gcc 3.4.4 Windows/unicode, build: Mar 6 2006 12:01:56). If you have RC2 or an old nightly I'd suggest getting a new one from here.

The error was with RC2. Just installed the nightly build of version 1.0 and that seems fine. So you can consider the bug closed. And next time I'll try the latest nightly first as it was so beautifully easy to do.

ummm. No, can't close it. Perhaps I'm being dumb, but I can't figure out how. New on BerliOS devel. More than happy to do it if you can point me in the right direction. ;-)

Odd you could close your own bugs of SF.net.....

I also didnt get an e-mail when you replied. Maybe the trackers aren't setup quite right or something.

I'll ask mandrav about it.... :)

This bug has been already fixed in HEAD.
