Bug #11822 2007-08-22 16:29

moonkid

white tooltips lives to long

I submited this bug (#11793) and biplab said I should look at bug #10785 "for solution". But I can not see any paralels between my bug and this.

I am not able to reopen my own bug. Why?

That is why I have to resubmit it.

I do not know the right words but I think my describtion is enough.

If the mouse stops over a piece of code a white (not the yellow!) tooltip pops up and describe something.

The point is that the tooltip doesn't disapear. It is still alive if I change the focus to another application (e.g. a browser). You can see an example here

<http://miktion.rahner-edv.de/bus/whitetooltip.png> (look in the bottom right corner)

The tooltip disapear if I click somewhere into the CB editor or if the mouse stop over another piece of code.

Sorry, there was a Typo. Actually it's a duplicate bug report of *bug #11785*, not bug #10785 as mentioned in my last reply.

As of now, it has no solution. You need to turn off the tooltip display to get rid of it.

I also have this problem. To represent the bug right click on an arbitrary function and click 'find implementation of 'function name''

Most of the case you have multiple matches, so a dialog window pop up.

After this move your mouse cursor over another or the same function to appear the white box with the info about the function. Now if you pick a function that the find dialog shows which focus another source file the white box freeze onto the screen.

You can change application or click anywhere inside CB, the small box wont disappear.

I downloaded the newest nightly(5115) from Jens's repository, but this behavior escort me trough months with different versions of CB.
