List of changes
It would be very useful to add a list in a window with all the changes made in the code as does Photoshop with the pictures. This would make it very easy to map all the changes and would also avoid lots of fatal "accidents". :)
It would be also be extremely helpful to make backups of the source files automatically, I mean, when starting a session, saving in another directory the files as they are and to keep them until the next session (or even the last 3, e.g). This would also be great!

For the second request, you can have a look at the autosave-plugin and it's configuartion dialog (if it is installed) in "Settings -> Environment... -> Autosave".
The first is interesting, but most likely not so easy to implement.
