debug mode: evaluating expression under cursor and popupmenu

in debug mode, I have expression under cursor evaluation enabled and I often select a variable and use right-click -> watch this expression in which case a popup window appears.

the problem is that a second after, the popup for expression evaluation appears and closes the menu popup.
