Column Editing broken
Column editing has been broken. Inserting is not reliable. Example:
1. Press Alt Shift and arrows up or down to select a column.
2. Press tab.
This works OK. Now try:
1. Press Alt Shift and arrows up or down to select a column,
2. then press space.
The space is only inserted in the last row rather than on the entire column.

What do you have checked under:
Settings->Editor->Margins and caret->Selections
Settings->Editor->Margins and caret-> Selections:
Enable virtual space (space beyond the end of line) - disabled
Allow multiple selections - disabled
Okay, if you enable 'Allow multiple...' and 'Enable typing (and deleting)...' does column editing work properly for you?
