Bug #18814 2012-12-01 14:00

Cursor up/down in editor scrolls view
The whole view of the code editor scrolls when I cursor up or down except within a very small number of lines near the centre of the screen. The problem seems inconsistent, with the proximity to the screen edge (top / bottom) varying. I have not been able to deduce what changes the behaviour. It is like there is a setting which defines a number of lines to keep visible above or below the cursor but that setting changes incorrectly.
I am using svn8598 on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. This behaviour has started since updating to this version from a previous (sorry, do not know which) nightly build. The update was performed to allow testing of the 12.11-RC2 and report issues (such as this one).

I think this is the same error what I wrote down in #018812...
Yes, this is a duplicate of issue #18812. I didn't know that feature was there and looked for such a feature in lots of configuration places. It is well hidden! This issue occurred when I deleted my default.conf file to work around issue #18815, so this setting was reset to default.
I agree that there is a bug that this setting is not being read at start-up.
Admin - please mark this a duplicate of #18812. I think this needs sorting before 12.11 (which I guess will now be 12.12).
