Unable to create project

I use codeblocks (10.05) with GCC and MinGW on both Debian and Windows (XP).

I have the same issue at my machine at work and also my home computer (both running windows xp).

After starting codeblocks I click create project , build target = console and then I click the go button.

Now codeblocks pop up and error message: you need to open (or create) a project first.

This problem is something that happened nearly instantly after installing codeblocks on my work computer and I have been using codeblocks for months on my home computer and for some (unknown) reason the same problem appeared here. PS! I can still open previously created projects but I am unable to create a new from scratch!
