backgrounds, text and icons do not honor system colors

When I start CodeBlocks for the very first time I am welcomed with a fugly white "Start Here" page with fugly white gradient tab, fugly white "Code::Blocks" , near invisible text "logs & others", "Management" , "Symbols" (which is black on dark tab with white strikethrough), "{}", etc..
