"failed to open"

First time user of Code::Blocks V8.02 on Windows XP(SP2).

Select "create a new Project" in the "start here" page.

Select "Console Application".

Select C as the language.

Enter a project title and select a folder.

Double click on the main.c file in the Management panel and get the message "Failed to open 'C:\$utilities\C_Code\Test\main.c'." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
