Bug #13830 2008-05-18 11:16

Copy & paste bug
Sometimes when I hit Ctrl+C the clipboard is still the same.
It's definitively not my keyboard nor my driver because it does work in any other application.
Another even more weird bug is that sometimes when I hit Ctrl+X the text is cut off but it is NOT copied to the clipboard.

A me too comment:
This is e.g. described in CB forum topic "Copy & paste hell ..", already back in 2006.
It might have something to do with timing:
After cloning (!) to a faster machine the bug appeared on my computer that was up to then the only one out of 7 pcs not showing that behaviour.
Yes, I have this too, and a lot! It's really annoying when unexpected code is pasted in the wrong place and you have to hit undo again. I started to hit copy 2 to 3 times every time I copy something and this helps but looks really stupid. After reading in the forum I understand it's a problem related to the window manager and GTK in Linux and not really C::B's fault.
I'm using KDE.
It seems to vanish after exiting "Klipper".
It might relate to some bugs in KDE or GTK. However, CB is not the only GTK based application I'm using; that should not be the only answer.
Same here. I'm using C::B 10.05, Linux and Xfce.
